Just a curiosity

Geek, n. - slang:

"A person who is interested in technology, especially computing and new media...

who had chosen concentration rather than conformity;

one who passionately pursues skill and imagination, not mainstream Social Acceptance."

Who needs mainstream Social Acceptance anyway? :p
I don't really agree with that saying.... I think...

A song for the day

I really wanted to just play the song and have it like something to listen to. But I feel that this soon suits our reality even better now than we actually lived together and I just had loads of time left to finish school.

Always keep in mind

Trips to here there and everywhere, or "hytt og gevær"

I'd love to post more blog updates than I do. But as we seem to travel everywhere all the time, seeming to travel after the rain and sleet all the time, walking for miles looking for motives(motifs?) and driving for miles it doesn't seem like there is neither time nor energy to do so. But here it goes.

We've been to a lot of trips to;
Gjesvær(in Norwegian); where we looked for birds and took a boat trip out to a bird/nesting cliff. Slept there for one night before we went on to...

Knivskjellodden; Norway's most nothern point, sometimes considered the nothernmost point of the entire conitnent of Europe. Kinnarodden on the Nordkun peninsula is the nothernmost point on the mainland. I've never been to the latter though. This place we only spent one night as well
Kanootrip down Alta river with the dogmushing girls. As photographers we detected a horrible side of oursleves. We actually almost got a bit sad/disapointes when the others didn't overturn(kvelve is sucha better word for this). Slep one night outdoors.

I've also been on tips when the nature photography group.
One more trip to Gjesvær(sleeping there for one night).
A trip to a place close to the hill top named Komsa (just like the house I live in), where we had some education and possibility to try what we learned quite immediately.

The last trip we(the photogroup, not nature photography)'ve been to was to Seiland. Seiland looks like a fairytale. Trampe; we have to go there one time! I've even gotten to know the man to runs the boat that makes it possible for people to go there without ending on the completely wrong side of the island. We saw a glacier, raindeer, grouse and loads of astonishing scenery/landscape. All this with a huge dash of rain during night, long trips during day and bonfire the night it wasn't pouring down. We came to the conclution that the only thing that saperates the photostudents form the rest of the school is that we actually HAVE to stay inside when it's raining to protects our equipment. Yes I know, bat excuse to escape the bad weather. Though if I'd had a waterproof camerahouse/waterfroom camera equipment I'd been out there taking pictures in the rain. The trip got a sad and sudden ending as one of the students fell down a hill side and it stared to seriousily sleet.

This is what has happened so far. In addition to indoor education/lessons and some common program for all of the students.

Here is the student rapport from the trips;
The photogroup's trip to Gjesvær and Knivskjellodden. (In Norwegian)
Kanooing from Sautso down the Alta river. (Also in Norwegian)

As you understand things are happening all the time. There is almost no time to miss anyone, exept from when you're going to sleep. But then again, when you're going to sleep you're so tired that you fall asleep the moment your head hit the pillow, or normally sleeping bag laying on the ground/sleeping mat.
